The objective of the project is to transform two independent buildings into a single one, maintaining the envelope and changing the use from a gym to a hospital. A complex functional program is introduced reinforcing the connection between the existing buildings.

One of the key points of the project is to introduce natural light into a closed volume with few openings. Large light boxes are integrated to illuminate the rooms, so that where natural light does not reach the patient does not perceive it.

Another important part is the reuse of existing façade materials to integrate them into the new design.

The warmth of the interior, the comfort of the spaces and the functionality of the whole characterize the project.
