The project corresponds to a new construction for a Student Residence in the 22@ district of Barcelona. It is developed on a ground level for parking and 6 floors above ground, in two built volumes.
The above-ground building is made up of 2 blocks, A with 6 floors and B with 2 floors, divided by a central patio that allows natural lighting of the interior facades.
In relation to the streets, a façade that reflects life inside is achieved by incorporating large windows and a glazed ground floor. This visual permeability allows for better integration of daily activities with the outside and brings life to the neighborhood. Therefore, the common spaces are concentrated on the ground floor: study rooms, kitchen-dining rooms, gym, cinema and open space for socialization and play.
For better integration of the building into its surroundings, exposed brick finishes are used, very common in the industrial architecture of the district.
The residence houses 253 rooms of different types that adapt to the needs of the user: individual, Premium adapted (accessible) and clusters. The rooms are compact and functional, allowing maximum use of the floor without losing user comfort.
The covered floor is designed to house the common life of the residence. Its solarium and elevated pool offer students additional attraction and good use of the outdoors.
The project has achieved the Platinum level in the German DGNB certification, which evaluates and certifies the sustainability of buildings under European norms and standards.
