Residential villa in Riyadh

PROJECT DATA

Andalusian city as inspiration for the concept of a house. The Andalusian urban line is characterized by the whiteness of its buildings along with the sloping roofs and a predominant element: the tower. This is a representative landscape of Spanish architecture.

The center of the project is the patio that organizes the rest of the elements around it. One of these elements is the tower that functions as the dominant element of the landscape and as a viewpoint.

The shapes of the roofs give movement to the house and add dynamism to the architecture.

The entrance has been designed as a  perforated light box where the walls not only play with light and shadow, but also with texture.

The white color of the house contrasts with the blue of the sky and the green of the gardens. The contrast between the white of the walls and the blue of the sky becomes an ideal background for the green of the garden.

The presence of water provides freshness and a relaxing sound. Water is a guide through the house and gardens. The water path sets the guidelines for the journey through the house, it is the axis that gives order and composition to the house.
