The new pavilion occupies 5 floors built below ground with a total area of 12,000 m2. + AN EXERCISE OF INTEGRATION
The underground design of the new pavilion directly prevents aesthetic aggression towards the historical complex that make neighboring pavilions historic grounds of the Hospital de la Santa Creu and Sant Pau created by Lluis Domenech i Montaner, one of the top works of Catalan Modernism. In addition, the AA + Lluís Tejero Arquitectos team devised a solution to improve integration in the whole building Fundació Puigvert Clinic, which stands next to the new pavilion, was built in 1964 under the premise of rationality prevailing at the time. Thus, it has been applied to the exterior of the building facing or ceramic skin made of ceramic brick that completely covers the southern facade, which acts as a link with the historic building with the use of this material.

+ DEFINE PERSONALITY OF A BUILDING
In line with the perfectionism that is itself the work of AA + Lluís Tejero Arquitectos team, the interior of the Fundació Puigvert has been attentive to a number of details that make a refined and clean style that defines the personality of the building without renouncing the functionality. Thus, since all floors have the same structure, the use of a different color is attributed to each of them so that the user may be given immediately. Similarly, the specific arrangement of furniture in each of the floors is also in the order to help the user to orient themselves in space; thus, you can guess the reception area floor thanked the outgoing counter, which stands on the linear corridor. One reason functionality also respond the predominant use of clean and durable materials such as laminated HPL, which it is present both in the cladding of walls and doors and interior furniture pieces.
